LIVING WELL CLASSES AND SESSIONS AVAILABLE

Strength and Balance

Strength and Balance is a 12-week evidence-based OTAGO programme aimed at introducing light physical activity to improve the strength, balance, and stability of participants, in a safe environment using minimal equipment. In Ipswich, we currently run programmes at Ransomes Sports Pavilion, Gainsborough Sports Centre, and Whitton Sports Centre. Beyond the 12-week programme, we also offer a progression session at each of the sites which can be discussed with the instructor.

Please see below for guidance on the eligibility test that appears in the self-referral form.

Breathe Well

Our Breathe Well classes are low impact, partly chair-based, and different for each individual to go at their own pace, aimed at getting you moving more and having some fun! The sessions are a follow-on from the NHS Pulmonary Rehabilitation course, which take place across various venues including our sports centres, and you can self-refer or be referred by your GP.

Classes take place at Gainsborough Sports Centre on Mondays, and Whitton Sports Centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
