Covid-Secure Measures

Do I need to wear a face covering when visiting your facilities?

Face coverings are to be worn in all communal areas throughout our facilities, including reception, corridors, before and after activities and in the changing rooms (Unless medically exempt). Face coverings do not need to be worn whilst exercising.

What additional cleaning and safety measures are you putting in place?

The health and wellbeing of customers and staff is our top priority, so we have been working hard to make our facilities Covid-Secure.

Changes will be made to how we operate as guidance is updated. The measures we have taken include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Staff have been trained in new ways of working.
  • Hand sanitiser stations have been installed throughout our facilities.
  • Cleaning stations have been installed in our gyms to enable customers to wipe equipment down before and after use.
  • We’ve added screens between gym equipment.
  • Enhanced cleaning – Staff will be regularly cleaning around the facility.

Will you notify me if you think I may have been in contact with a person who has tested positive for Covid-19 whilst at your facilities?

We will be complying with the NHS Test and Trace service, which means that you might be contacted by Test and Trace if you have come into contact with a person at our facilities who has tested positive for Covid-19. We ask all customers, where possible to scan in on the Test and Trace QR codes located across all our facilities.

Will spectators be allowed for sessions/classes?

Spectators are now allowed within our facilities. Spectators will need to sign in at reception and follow the in-centre instructions please. Whilst wearing a face covering is not mandatory, we do ask customers to wear one in public areas where possible.

Your Visit

Will I need to sign-in for my activity at reception as normal?

Yes, but there will also be self-serve tablets for customers to use. You will need to have your name and iCard number available as well as details of the session you have booked for. If you have booked your activity online you will have received a booking confirmation email with this information.

Please arrive no earlier than 10 mins before your session starts. We need to maintain social distancing in our facilities and can only have limited people in reception at a time.

I require a carer/helper to attend with me due to a medical condition – is this allowed?

Yes, you are permitted to have a carer join you for your activity free of charge. Carers will need to pre-book the activity using a free Bookings iCard and sign in with you at reception. Carers can apply for a Carers Booking iCard by completing our online enquiry form with their personal details and the name of the person they will be caring for.

Will I have any issues accessing your facilities if I have a disability?

Any new Covid-Secure safety measures, cleaning processes, and routes into, out of and through our facilities have been made inclusive and accessible for all. If you have any issues while visiting, please speak to a member of our team who will be happy to help.

Can I pay by cash?

Cash payments are accepted in centre, however we do encourage customers to pay by contactless card where possible. Most activities should be booked and paid for online or over the phone ahead of your visit.

Will vending machines be available to use?

Yes, our vending machines are available to use and offer a selection of cold and hot drinks, and snacks. Our vending machines accept cash and contactless card payments.

Will I be able to purchase items from your Swim Shops and Sports Shops?

Yes, our swim shops and sports shops are open with a range of Swimming and Sports goods available.

Will I be able to use the changing rooms and lockers at your facilities?

Yes, these are available at all our centres except Gainsborough Sports Centre. Locker tokens for Crown Pools can be purchased at reception if you don’t have a £1 coin to use.

Do I need to bring my own fitness equipment, or can I borrow it?

We encourage you to bring equipment if you have it, however we do have limited equipment such as racquets, balls, and shuttlecocks available for hire if needed.

For fitness classes, we do ask that customers bring their own mats where possible.

We also have a range of sports and swim goods available to purchase from our Sports Shops and Swim Shops.

What is now available at Gainsborough Sports Centre?

All our outdoor facilities are available at Gainsborough including the All-Weather Area and grass pitches, with the exception of the tennis court. We have now reopened the gym and indoor fitness classes have now restarted.

Please note that there is a new entrance to the gym and fitness classes whilst Gainsborough remains a vaccination centre. This is up the ramp directly into the gym.

Fitness class users should enter through the gym and follow the route upstairs to the studio. Fitness class customers will need to follow the instructor upon finishing the class and exit out of the squash court exit.

Please note due to Gainsborough being a vaccination centre and as such a clinical area, some parts of the building are off-limits to customers. Please follow the in-centre signs, staff instructions and there is no photography in indoor spaces.
